]]>The biggest issue with the *eBay* feedback system is that buyers are not able to leave feedback if the bidder does not pay. This leaves the seller without an adequate platform to share their experience with future buyers and more importantly, unable to protect themselves from the (NPB).
The seller has limited options to address this issue. First, the seller may try to open a case in the Resolution Center; however, if the (NPB) does not respond to the case, the seller is left with no choice but to wait for the issue to be resolved by *eBay*. This can take long stretches of time and does nothing to help assure potential buyers that the seller is legitimate and trustworthy.
Another option is to open a mutual cancellation request and then leave negative feedback for the (NPB). Unfortunately, even though the (NPB) has not satisfied the purchase, mutual cancellation requests are becoming more and more common and good sellers are losing out financially and gaining nothing in terms of feedback or reviews.
A better feedback system, one that allowed buyers to provide accurate information on their transaction and experience, would offer a great benefit to buyers and sellers alike. Buyers would be able to more accurately gauge the reliability of a seller, based on all the reviews of the sellers transactions, whether they were successful or not.
Moreover, sellers would be able to protect themselves from shifty (NPBs) while also maintaining their good feedback rating. This improved feedback system would also make sure buyers are compensated when a (NPB) inaccurately bids on an item and then disappears.
The flaws and issues in the *eBay* feedback system are undeniable. By allowing NPBs to disappear without comment or compensation, buyers and sellers alike are out time, money, and trust in a system that should work for both. We need to demand that NPBs be held accountable and a better feedback system be put in place to ensure justice on *eBay*.
